Biography
Göran Flood was born in 1965 in Sweden where he grew up, with the exception of two childhood years spent in South America. Listening to his parents' records ignited his fascination with guitar and music early on. Playing in a good mix of rock, pop, funk and gospel groups,combined with jazz lessons from a hometown jazz great, proved to be a strong foundation on which to build his musical career.
In 1987, he moved to Los Angeles to attend the Guitar Institute of Technology (G.I.T) where he studied with guitar masters like Joe Diorio and Scott Henderson.
In 1991, the Göran Flood Band was born and started playing in jazz clubs in Stockholm. In 1993, the band played at the grand opening of Stockholm Water Festival and at Stockholm's legendary jazz club Fasching.
In 1994, Göran began receiving more an more requests to play as a session musician, which meant he started spending a lot of time in the now legendary Cheiron Studio.

In 1997, Four Leaf Clover Records signed Göran Flood for a solo album. His music on Vernissage (FLC CD 153) has been described as:
